New House, New School, New Life
Hey guys. Sorry this has been so long coming, we've been so busy over the past 2 weeks shifting house etc, plus the internet's not been up til recently, so i haven't had time to blog or anything. Hope you are all well, keep the tags coming (hello Clarissa!).
Just a quick update on me - it's 11pm and i have to talk to sarah, peel out my eyes, and hop into bed in time to get 6 hours sleep before my 8am lesson tmr, which is media production aka. filming which is pretty good fun. I have 4 different modules: Media Ethics(like why the press should draw Muhammad in a nicer way), Interpersonal Communication (my fave - a bit of psychology, why ppl behave the way they do and how relationships form etc), Media Production and Image and Sound(analysing photos,advertisements etc).
Well, school's only been in for 2 weeks and i already have an assignment due next Thurs which is a poo. My weeks are so packed because of football - Mon/Tues/Thurs training (ie i'm out from like 7am-10pm) and Wed i have BS at night as well. I only have Fri and Sun as my free days as i play football on Saturdays too. Argh. I hope it's all worth it, i really need to find time to do my work.
That's pretty much it from me for now, church is.. okay. Things at home are.. okay - seeing i'm not home too much (which was an issue for the first week of our occupying the house - i wasn't around to help unpack! Argh!) there's much less contact or conflict. It's good that way. The house is lush, come visit when you can.
I've made a few superficial friends in uni, and am starting up a christian union with a girl from church called Nancy - do pray for us, for wisdom and for God's guidance as we set something up in a worldly place - where the influences are strong, i'm beginning to feel it. Beer is so cheap here - but thank God for Brett the football coach who scoffs at beer and the typical footballers' lifestyle - so i've tried to keep away from it as much as possible. Not that i was ever the drinking type but i do like the occasional drink. I've had the solitary pint so far.
Ok i'm off, gotta wake up at 0600. Aaiiiii!!!
