i'm on a roll, baby
Wow there have been some awesome transfers in the English Premiership - especially Carlos Tevez and (something) Mascherano's transfer to West Ham - i think i'm gonna support them! Those 2 guys (esp. Tevez) are awesome players and they were fundamental in Argentina's exciting display of attacking footy at the World Cup. Good on West Ham for signing them! Also, Brazilian Baptista (not the wrestler) will be playing for Arsene's Arsenal while Reyes went in the other direction, on loan. Exciting times.
I had a coffee with my Tongan roadsweeper friend, Vilisoni (aka Wilson) at Starbucks about an hour ago, which was an absolutely charming experience. He is such a nice dude. I had such an enjoyable time chatting with him that i think i'll forget having coffee with pretty blondes where i have to be all self conscious and all, and hang out with him instead, haha! I know what time he sweeps around my campus now, and what time he has his break, so i'm determined to hang out with him more(probably won't go to Starbucks so much if we make it a regular date). He's here with his 21-year-old son, while his wife and other 4 kids are back home in Tonga. He misses his wife so much that she appears on the tv screen when he's watching tv alone at night! Poor chap! He's a Christian and goes to a Methodist Tongan church, and apparently it's nearly 100% Christians out in Tonga - and everything's closed on Sunday cos everyone's in church! Holy Moley! Vilisoni hasn't got much teeth and he has a big moustache, so all his words come out skewiffy and it's quite adorable, his favourite phrase is "It's alwite..", like when you ask him about missing his family. When the girl in front of us shut the door on him by accident, she apologised and he said,"It's alwite" with a jovial chuckle (sounds abit like Ernie's laugh with a bit more spit).
When i asked him whether his boss checks up on him when he's sweeping, he said no, but pointed to the ceiling, indicating that the Big Fella up there is watching him. And that was a lesson for me to learn, from Vilisoni the Tongan roadsweeper. Boy, do i need to take a page outta this guys' book. He probably has one of the carpiest jobs ever, and he does it 6/7 days a week, and he knows who's the Boss, and does it with a toothless grin. Kudos, bruv. Oh, the times I've whinged and moaned to God about assignments and stacking shelves and stuff, and how i've forgotten the privilege of serving God regardless the task.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
